In the spirit of World Cup soccer and yesterday’s post on sacrifice…
Today I read this quote by Mia Hamm about her soccer team – “I am a member of a team, and I rely on the team, I defer to it and sacrifice for it, because the team, not the individual, is the ultimate champion.”
I can’t help but wonder what life would be like if Christians took this same approach to living.
I think we want to live for God but we want to have one hell of a good time.
Hmmm. Not for me. To consider what others do or don’t do (think or don’t think), takes my eyes off Christ.

hey gina, great thought and i fully understand what you are saying. and i agree that we don’t need to take our eyes off jesus, but i don’t think we should let the christians around us die spiritually at the same time. i guess i was thinking of it from a church perspective and not from an individual christian perspective…
