Miracle Maker

This weeks been an awesome week for me. I left Sunday after church to go to Student Life camp with our youth, came back on Wednesday to preach a sermon, preached another on Thursday, been in meetings most of today, and now putting together a sermon for Sunday. I love being busy, and I love having the opportunity and pleasure of sharing the Gospel “Great News” message of Jesus!

I know I have mentioned something like this before, but I seriously can’t hear the redemptive message of Jesus without being overwhelmed with awe and tears. This week at youth camp, I had the amazing opportunity to see Jesus work in 14 of the youth at our church, and hundreds of youth from all across the south (I think that’s where most of the people were from). I found myself being overwhelmed with the awesomeness of Jesus each night and wishing you all could be with me and watch the miracles Jesus was continuing to act in the lives of these youth.
Literally, Jesus has proven to me over and over and over just how much of a miracle worker He is. Thank you Jesus for working miracles in my life. Thank you Jesus for providing hope for the FUTURE and hope for TODAY. Thank you Jesus for entrusting me to bear Your Name. Thank you that your mercies renewed this morning, and they will tomorrow morning and all the mornings after that. Thank you Jesus for allowing me to speak your name, the name that brings freedom and the name that one day ever knee will bow and tongue will profess that is Lord. Thank you for reminding me this week that You aren’t through with us yet!
Jesus is truly the miracle maker! Has Jesus worked a miracle in your life or someone you know? Please let me know… Let’s encourage one another!
Below is one of my favorite songs by “Delirious?”.

  1. I love hearing about ways that God works in the hearts and minds of our youth. I read so much about this being a lost generation. Honestly, I'm 35 and don't think they are anymore lost than we were when we were kids. I know I was a mess!

In my opinion, they are only lost if we lose them. I love reading about your passion for holding on to the attention of young people and sharing with the true love of Jesus. Keep doing all that you do to make sure they don't get lost.

  2. I am excited to hear of your great week. I think the cool thing is that it doenst have to be any big or flashy to feel how awesome Christ is your life. It can just be the simple things.

I think with us. Raising a son with serious medical issues leaves us often tired and feeling a little defeated, but then I remember that in less than 2 weeks Gavin is going to be 3. God has given us 3 awesome years with him and even though its not easy the fact that Gavin is such a fighter just shows the plan that God has for him and his life. So that shows what a miracle maker God is in our life.
