No, THANK GOD, that is not how I see Jesus!! But I have to say that was one hilarious video, LOL. I haven't laughed so hard since I watched an old Laurel and Hardy short on Turner Classic Movies the other day.

A few months ago, when I was bummed out about some old family issues, the Holy Spirit asked me, "Why are you still crying about that? It doesn't matter whether they love you or not, God, loves you, Jesus loves you, and I love you!" (I'm paraphrasing. He was much gentler than that).

From that moment on my life has never been the same. Every day is exciting and meaningful. I'm not just going through the motions anymore or faking it to look "holy" in front of others. My Bible studies have even become more meaningful and exciting.

The Jesus I know is NOTHING like that guy in the movie...whoever he is!!

For real? Where in the world did you find this video? Hysterical. Very Firesign Theater-esque.

That said, I agree with your comments. Many people are completely unaware of the full character of Jesus. It's a hard concept to fathom. We have a huge opportunity to disciple people in the church that is often overlooked. Punching in on a Sunday morning isn't enough to bring the pure joy and love through relationship with Jesus as you discussed.

Thanks for a good laugh and deep thought!
