When Charles Schulz described this scene to him, and that he wanted Linus to recite the Christmas story, Bill said something to the effect of "this is television, we can't do that".<br/>To which Shulz replied:<br/>"If we don't do it, who will?"<br/><br/>One of these days, I fully expect to tune in one Christmas and find that entire scene cut out. My 11-year old daughter said "Are they really allowed to show this on TV since they talk about Jesus and the Bible?" It made me sad that she is growing up in a world that has made her realize it's "not always ok to talk about Jesus". Even though that is farthest from the truth. <br/><br/>Just saddened that we have become such a "policitally correct people". And my kids know it.
